Wedding Dress Obsessions: Sleeves

Thanks to Princess Kate, dresses with sleeves are back in and rabbis all over the world are rejoicing. We’ve compiled some of our favorite gorgeous wedding dresses (with sleeves!) here to help inspire you on your search for the perfect gown. These dresses may be a bit more modest than the popular strapless dresses of the past decade, but they manage to be classy + on trend + synagogue appropriate– a winning combination!

1. Princess Kate in Alexander McQueen

We must start with the wedding dress that immediately became the envy of all other wedding dresses – Princess Kate’s Alexander McQueen gown. Classic lace with modern lines, this dress stole our hearts. Not only is it gorgeous, but it is modest – perfect for any Jewish American Princess marrying their own Prince Charming.

2. Anne Barge

Hello lovely. This gorgeous gown in Anne Barge’s 2015 Spring Collection is the perfect combination of sheer lace and beadwork. We love it paired with an updo and a dramatic lip as shown here, but think it would also be gorgeous with a smoky eye. It looks timeless, yet modern – perfect for your wedding day!

4. Kate Hudson in Atelier Versace

This Atelier Versace stunner may not be a wedding dress (Kate Hudson wore it to the 2014 Oscars), but it might as well be. Color us obsessed with this Old Hollywood Glam look!

7. Gwyneth Paltrow in Tom Ford

We love this asymmetrical, simple and clean look for the modern bride. Gwyneth Paltrow wore this Tom Ford gown to the 2012 Academy Awards, but we think the look is especially current and fresh for today’s weddings.
