Polka dot decorated mason jars, a Gumby and Pokey cake topper, colorful straws, and handmade chuppah makes this Jewish wedding oh so cute. Hanna and Alex were all smiles and a bow tie.
Photographer Joshua Rainey shares their wedding:
Hannah and Alex had a small, intimate wedding at Shore Acres State Park near Coos Bay, OR. They made the trip from Portland along with a handful of family and close friends.
Hannah, being Jewish, wanted to be married under chuppah so Alex and a close friend constructed a frame before the ceremony and put a traditional fabric over top. The whole wedding had accents of hand-blown glass (made by a friend of course) including the custom chuppah.
They kept it fairly traditional for a Jewish ceremony and Alex stomped on a glass to seal the vows. After the ceremony we had plenty of time to explore Shore Acres and capture some portraits. I photographed on film to because the tones of it would accent the couple’s quirky, vintage style nicely.
After a short “reception” and family photos we headed down to the beach for some more portraits while the guests were tearing down and heading back to a rental house for a catered dinner.
