Lauren & Greg’s lux Jewish wedding at the Four Seasons Austin was planned by exquisite creative planner WHITT.
The couple saw each other for the first time on the lush green lawn of the Four Seasons Hotel. Greg put his hands over his eyes and opened them in surprise when seeing his bride for the first time, beaming at the gorgeous Lauren in her Carolina Herrera wedding dress!
We wandered the romantic grounds, all the way down to Lady Bird Lake for some photos on the water with the Congress Street bridge in the background. When we’d had enough of the June heat, everyone went inside for the Ketubah signing with the couple’s closest friends and family. Guests enjoyed an early cocktail hour, then everyone moved to the lawn for the ceremony.
Merveille Events and Floral created a stunning floating chuppah drawing from the surrounding nature, with twinkle lights. In keeping with Jewish tradition, Greg broke the glass right as the sun set over the ceremony site. Then everyone moved inside to the stunning ballroom for the challah blessing, followed by a delicious dinner.
Sauce The Band got the party started with some upbeat tunes, and the dance floor remained packed all night long. The hora is one of my favorite parts of Jewish weddings, and I love the looks of pure joy mixed with terror on Lauren & Greg and their parents’ faces. Ha ha, so fun!
The reception was full of fun and surprises, including Greg and his fraternity brothers performing an impressive synchronized dance routine to “My Girl” while Lauren laughed in delight. Apparently it is a tradition at each brother’s weddings, and they nailed it without even rehearsing! As the reception came to a close, the band brought the newlyweds onto the stage to sing “Don’t Stop Believin’” with them for the finale.
