Ohh this couple is too adorable.
It was like their wedding took place in the dew of the morning sunlight – that is to say, romantic beyond comparison.
And this gorgeous lace dress with shoulder sleeves.
From Jacqueslene’s handmade ketubah to those blue, sparkly shoes, I love this chic modern wedding.
Jacqueslene & Glen share their story:
Tell us about the wedding!
The wedding included a Jewish ceremony complete with chuppah, wine blessings, reading of our handmade ketubah and breaking of the glass. The wedding took place at Benvenuto’s Restaurant in Boynton Beach, FL.
We loved choosing every aspect of our wedding. We hope other couples enjoy the time they have to plan their weddings. Don’t get caught up in the stress of it all. Just relax and follow your heart. It should be a fun time! Don’t make it stressful. If anything goes wrong, no one will notice!
What was the inspiration for your wedding?
The style had a zen feel with lots of orchids yet romantic with lace accents. Everything except for the bouquets and boutonnieres were handmade or designed by the bride, her mom, and sister. It was a very “do it yourself” wedding.
What was the hardest part about wedding planning?
The bride planned the wedding pretty much all by herself so that was a challenge. She started almost a year ahead of time to keep on track and have everything finished. The hardest part of planning was figuring out how everything would be set up on the day of the wedding.
Did you do any DIY (do it yourself) or special projects/things at the wedding?
We had postcards with a picture of the bride and groom that were pre stamped and guests could write the bride and groom marriage suggestions or their favorite memory of the wedding and mail them to their home.
The bride hand drew the ketubah which was very special to them.
All of the decorations were made by hand but one of the most beautiful was the “swag” of orchid flowers across the huppah that the couple stood under. The mother of the bride handmade it for the couple.
The dancing! We also had the most amazing photographers who took gorgeous pictures and we also had a slow motion videographer. We had never seen anything like it but we highly recommend it to future couples. It was so fun!
