Passover is one of my favorite holidays, but after a while you get tired of chocolate covered matzah and dry matzo meal honey cakes for dessert. These delicious Brazilian treats are chewy, chocolatey and decadent. Best of all, they are delicious enough to eat all year round!
Kosher for Passover Brigadeiros (Brazilian Chocolate Truffles)
Makes approximately 20 truffles
14oz sweetened condensed milk
1/2c bittersweet chocolate chips
1 tblspn unsalted butter
Pinch of sea salt
Crushed pistachios and almonds for topping
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine milk, chocolate chips, butter and salt. Stir until the mixture thickens and begins to pull away from the side of the pan, around 10 minutes.
Pour into a container and refrigerate for an hour until the chocolate mixture has cooled.
Once cooled, grease hands with butter, roll mixture into balls, and coat in nut topping. Serve chilled and enjoy!
