A short while ago we featured the Southern inspired wedding of Brittany and Andrew. Today, we have a really special wedding inspired by the American Southwest, but taking place in Israel!
Hay bales, a scenic sunset, and some sweet horses will melt your heart. Oh, and did I mention the groom has a band and he sung at the reception? Indeed! See a couple of the sneak photos at the bottom.
Lovely bride Michal and groom Asaf, sent us their inspiration and tips.
What was the inspiration for the wedding?
Southwest USA, Mexico, country-folk music/art/tradition. We tried to assemble a relaxed atmosphere, with natural motifs like trees, wooden furniture and items (which we build ourselves) stacks of hay, fruit and vegetables etc. it all fit perfectly with the location we chose – an amazing horse ranch.
What did you love about the wedding?
Mostly, the fact that we kept everything simple, down to earth, without any ‘pyrotechnic’ bull**it, thus giving our guest a comfortable feeling, making everyone feel at ease to do what they feel like and celebrate this amazing evening with us.
What advice do you have for future brides-to-be?
T-A-K-E I-T E-A-S-Y! seriously, keep everything in proportion, smile through the process and keep an open mind and communication with your spouse.
Oh, and be nice to the people you hire for the occasion (photographers, DJ, waiters etc.). They are not less important than your guests, so pay them well and be nice to them, your wedding success depends on these good people. If you respect them they will have the motivation to go far and beyond to make you happy.
Now time for photos by the talented Noa Magger Photography, based in Tel Aviv, Israel.
